Creating Beautiful Every Day Lives

You deserve a beautiful everyday life.

Why?

Well, it’s not because vanity is encouraged, and it’s not because you actually deserve it in a self-serving way. It’s not because you’re better than anyone else, and it’s not because you earned it.

You deserve a beautiful everyday life because that’s the way God originally intended life to be.

In Genesis 2:8-9 it states, “And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.”

When God created the garden for Adam, the garden was meant to be Adam’s home, and the garden was meant to be both beautiful and functional. When we create the spaces of our own homes, it is only natural that we seek beauty and function for them too.

That’s what Rachel Cook Creative is about. I want to help us create beautiful spaces and functional items that create environments where we and our families can thrive. What does that look like? How does that work?

First, I work to offer a variety of products at a variety of price points. Personally, I’m a very budget-conscious conservative spender, but I will also save up for larger purchases. What that looks like has been different for me in different stages of life depending on my income. I realize the same is true for other families. Some stages of life will have tighter budgets than others, but I believe that we should still be able to have beautiful spaces at every stage.

Art prints are one of the options I have to keep things affordable. Original artwork is usually more expensive because it’s the authentic painting I made with my own two hands, but I also want people to be able to afford it, so contrary to many other artists, I don’t elevate my original artwork pricing to be out of reach and only for the wealthy. Does it cost more than art prints? Yes. Is it still attainable for most people if they really want it? Yes. I also offer other products such as hand-painted seasonal decor, journals, phone cases, wallpaper, fabric, and more to help bring beauty to life in more ways than just art on your walls.

Second, we were all made in the image of God, the creator, therefore, we are all made to create too. This is the purpose of my blog - to share different ways to create. This will include ideas for how to create curated spaces by combining my artwork with my patterns, for example. It will also include some DIY ideas that you can use to create your own artwork and projects. Whatever path you’re interested in right now, think of me as your guide. You can pick which stops you want to make on our journey, and I’ll make sure you have the directions for whichever stops you pick.

Bottom line, I truly believe that EVERYONE deserves to have a beautiful everyday life. I can’t wait to work towards helping you create yours.

Let’s create it.
