Decorating for Fall
Are you a seasonal decorator? I have always loved decorating for each season, but fall and Christmas are definitely my favorites. My favorite thing about seasonal decorating is that it doesn’t have to be complicated, and it can bring in nature’s beauty in creative ways.
Whenever I decorate, I like to incorporate practical items with things I find beautiful so that the decor is functional, and in my home, kid-friendly too. This corner is an example of how I blended some of this year’s artwork with some of my daughter’s books so that they would be easily accessed, more easily noticed (and therefore more likely to be read), but still beautiful to look at every day.
The basket is filled with kraft paper crinkles to help boost the pumpkin to make it visible and hold the books in place.
